ArrowTime Chrono: The phone-based archery chronograph that listens to you shoot.
Measure real arrow flight speeds with your phone’s mic. No extra hardware required. Just your bow, your target, and your phone.
ArrowTime listens for the sound of the shot and the sound of impact, then uses your shooting distance to calculate Time To Target and Flight Speed. Flight Speed, or average speed, is different from what most hardware chronographs give: initial speed. While ArrowTime Chrono cannot measure initial speed, it does provide distance curves which can be used to get implied initial speed. To get a useful distance curve, you shoot at several distances, the app does the rest.
You can use ArrowTime to compare arrows, check consistency, build distance curves, test and build sight tapes.

Most chronographs tell you launch speed or initial speed. ArrowTime is different. It measures the actual time your arrow takes to reach the target and bases speed on time to target.
That makes it useful for understanding what is happening downrange.
The app is being tested against dedicated tools like Garmin, and the development process is documented on the ArrowTime Archery YouTube channel.
An app is not a replacement for good shooting. But equipment choices are an important part of performance. Arrow speed and consistency are hard to know without a quality chrono and are essential for knowing what your bow and arrows are actually doing.
