ArrowTime Chrono: A phone-based archery chronograph for measuring arrow speed and flight time.
Measure real arrow flight speeds with your phone’s mic. No extra hardware required. Just your bow, your target, and your phone.
ArrowTime listens for the sound of the shot and the sound of impact. Using your shooting distance, it calculates Time To Target and average Flight Speed, giving you a way to measure how long an arrow takes to reach the target and how fast it travels over that distance.
This is different from the initial or launch speed reported by many traditional archery chronographs. ArrowTime does not directly measure initial arrow speed. Instead, it measures arrow flight time and calculates average speed over the shooting distance.
Use ArrowTime to compare arrows and bow setups, check shot-to-shot consistency, build arrow speed distance curves, and test or develop sight tapes.

How is ArrowTime different from a traditional archery chronograph?
Most chronographs tell you launch speed or initial speed. ArrowTime is different. It measures the actual time your arrow takes to reach the target and bases speed on time to target.
That makes it useful for understanding what is happening downrange.
The app is being tested against dedicated tools like Garmin, and the development process is documented on the ArrowTime Archery YouTube channel.
An app is not a replacement for good shooting. But equipment choices are an important part of performance. Arrow speed and consistency are hard to know without a quality chrono and are essential for knowing what your bow and arrows are actually doing.
